Founded in 1999 by Ong Keng Sen, it is an independent organisation comprising artists and professionals in the arts and culture spaces that supports projects by Asian artists through grants. It aids primarily Southeast and South Asia artists working across disciplines, including performing arts, new media, literature and the visual arts. It is supported by the Ford Foundation.
