A sacred text belonging to the Tibetan Buddhist canon, comprising commentaries, treatises and a collection of abhidharma (ancient Buddhist texts). It consists of over three thousand texts divided into 224 volumes. From the Tibetan tengyur, meaning “translated treatises.”
