Pradakshina

A ritual act in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism, it is a clockwise circumambulation in which a devotee takes a complete circle around a sacred object or site, starting from the east and heading towards the south. The path of such a circumambulation mirrors the daily trajectory of the sun.
