Also known as Tirthankaras, jinas are teachers and guides who lead their followers on the path of dharma and are central to Jain devotional practices. The twenty-four jinas are typically depicted in either a seated padmasana posture or standing with their legs joined together, and are distinguished by a diamond-shaped mark on their chest, called srivatsa.
