Artists such as KG Subramanyan, Bhupen Khakhar, Vivan Sundaram, Ushakant Mehta, Vinodray Patel, Jyoti Bhatt and Jaidev Thakore situated the subversive and irreverent humour typical of the movement in an Indian context, using various materials and techniques in their works.
