A contemporary art gallery of Indian art and works from the larger subcontinent, Exhibit320 is located in Lado Sarai, New Delhi. The gallery highlights art that engages with new materials and media and hosts a variety of events to connect artists, academics and audiences. It also houses a bookstore and cafe. Arising out of Rasika Kajaria’s work as a collector and her interactions with art circles in New Delhi. Exhibit320 represents several contemporary artists, including Ritesh Ajmeri, Sonia Mehra Chawla, Sunoj D, Gopi Gajwani, Mariam Ghani and Nandan Ghiya. As of writing, Rasika Kajaria is the Director of Exhibit320.
The gallery conducts several exhibitions annually. Their first official show premiered in winter 2010. Titled Continuum Transfunctioner and curated by Gitanjali Dang, the show featured conceptual, sculptural and photographic works by Navin Thomas, Kausik Mukhopadhyay, Shilpa Chavan, Prayas Abhinav and Mithu Sen. Their latest exhibition, at the time of writing, Citing Beauty: Reimagining the Mundane (2021), was curated by Rahul Kumar and featured works by Khageswar Rout, Nayanjyoti Barman, Pappu Bardhan, Sonali Sonam and Surykanta Swain.
Exhibit320 participates in several art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Dubai, Shanghai Contemporary, the India Art Fair and Delhi Contemporary Art Week. For the April 2021 edition of the Art Week, the gallery presented laser-cut and lacquered steel sculptures by Anila Quayyum Agha, which sold for USD 26,000.
The gallery has also formed a nonprofit initiative, 1after320, to support their efforts to contextualise art within critical discourse for larger audiences.
