One of the nine nidhis (treasures) of Kubera, the Hindu god of wealth, Padmanidhi is associated with padma (the lotus flower) and presided over by the goddess Lakshmi. Along with Shankhanidhi, she is the guardian of Kubera’s wealth and is commonly found in temple entrances of southern India.
