The treasure of the Hindu god of wealth, Kubera. Also known as navanidhi, the treasure is constituted of nine elements, namely, mahapadma (the great lotus), padma (lotus), shankha (conch), makara (crocodile), kachhapa (tortoise), kumud, kunda (a precious stone), nila (sapphire) and kharva (dwarf). Some tantric traditions worship each of these nidhis as personified forms of guardian spirits.
