Megasthenes

Megasthenes (b. c. 350 BCE; d. c. 290 BCE) was an ancient Greek historian, diplomat and explorer known for his descriptions of the Indian subcontinent in his book, Indika. The original text has not survived and is known only from mentions and excerpts in later works.
